Videos and images of the Kumasi mansion of renowned Kumawood actor and comedian Kofi Adu, better known on social media as Agya Koo, have gone viral, drawing attention to its splendor.

Over the years, Agya Koo, who turned 54 on May 25, has been a favorite humorous actor.

He took 16 years to finish the structure, which has gained internet fame this week.

The Asantehene destooled the Atwima chief over the Agya Koo building project, according to a 2009 Graphic Online story.

It has to do with the practice of numerous land transactions, which is thought to be common among traditional leaders in Ghana.
In one case, it did so in 2009 and took the throne of a well-known chief in the Ashanti Region.

Twelve persons, including well-known actor Kofi Adu, aka Agya Koo, accused the Chief of Atwima, close to Kumasi, Nana Kofi Agyei Bi III, of engaging in serial land sales in a historic case at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

After the discussions, the plaintiffs' arguments were upheld, and Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, then declared Nana Agyei Bi's destoolment.

When the Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC) met at the Manhyia Palace in 2009, Agya Koo reported that he had purchased four land plots from Nana Agyei Bi for a hotel project only to learn later that the land had been sold to other individuals.

All of the other victims who testified before the KTC likewise accused Nana Agyei Bi of different offenses, alleging that he was to blame for their substantial financial losses.

It was discovered that the chief, a representative of the Kronti Division of the Kumasi Traditional Council, was responsible for the destruction of a structure on one of those plots of land.

In that case, Nana Agyei Bi had already been brought before a court by the victim, but Nana Agyei Bi had denied being responsible for the demolition of the aforementioned building, which was located on the border between Atwima and Atope, prior to the meeting at the Manhyia Palace.

However, the chief acknowledged his part in the building's demolition and informed the Asantehene that he had been summoned to court for the incident in a letter of apology delivered through the Omanhene of the Manso Nkwanta Traditional Area, Nana Bi Kusi Appiah, to the Asantehene.

The Asantehene claimed that before making the deselection decision, he gave Nana Agyei Bi's action significant consideration, particularly in light of the fact that the chief had lied to him.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu claimed to be aware of everything happening in Atwima that connected the chief to a number of problems.

He expressed sorrow that Nana Agyei Bi had misused the power granted to him, necessitating his destooling.
The chief, according to the Asantehene, disrespected his elders and even had disagreements with the local queen.
